Best Wedding Venue In The Blue Mountains

Located down a quiet leafy country lane in the fruit orchard region of the Blue Mountains, 1½ hours from most parts of Sydney. Suzarosa is our 8 acre property, quite different from most in the region. It sits perched on a ridge with views overlooking the mist-shrouded ravines of the Wollemi National Park.

Architecturally the property is a blend of Australian barn, American ranch house and French farmhouse. It is large and sophisticated but very comfortable, cosy and inviting.

Upon entering the house through the oversized green door, one immediately encounters its sprawling central space, the hub of this mountain retreat. It has soaring 5.5 metre cathedral ceilings, and enormous sliding glass doors which stack back to blend the outside and inside.

We have an enormous timber deck covered by a roof opening pergola, with a large gas barbeque area, flowing out to a large grassy expanse suitable for a game of cricket, soccer or weddings.

What else Suzarosa can offer

A wedding ceremony and reception depending on size, can be held in the house/covered deck/grounds or outside with a hired marquee.

Suzarosa offers self-cater group accommodation for up to 13 people in the oversized, extremely comfortable 5 bedroom house.

Suzarosa caters to couples who prefer to be more involved in the setting up, decorating, choosing caterers, having BYO beverages and other decisions associated with a personalised wedding. But we are here to assist in any way and can make recommendations on suppliers if needed (caterers, marquees, hairdressers, etc).

Garden weddings with an inside or covered deck backup option for wet weather or a marquee are held here, and have ranged from very intimate ones with around 12 guests, to around 160 or so guests. Larger wedding receptions are held in a hired marquee or teepee on the sprawling lawns beside the house, close to power and kitchen.

I got married to my husband at Suzarosa and the property is beautiful. We received so many compliments about how stunning the venue was. The owner Susan was also very accommodating and flexible with our needs. Susan also had ceremony chairs and trestle tables for us to use. And depending on the time of the year, there was also a beautiful natural arbour. These all came included with the price of the venue hire which saved us the stress and costs of hiring and transporting them in externally.

My partner and I had our wedding here and would recommend this venue to anyone in a heartbeat! We had the perfect day in the most beautiful surrounds. Susan was amazing to work with throughout the whole process - she’s kind, supportive, flexible and great with communication. We couldn’t have faulted anything and this place will be etched into our memories forever! No photos will do the view justice.

Had the absolute pleasure recently to photograph a wedding at Suzarosa. I was blown away when I saw the view. Beautiful House, Beautiful location, Beautiful grounds. Would absolutely be a pleasure to photograph here again!
